How to collect leads from your website

A short form beside your offer plus a dedicated inbox beats a generic “contact us” void. This guide shows FormKlar’s practical path — embed, notify, optional UTMs, export — without claiming ads managers or CRM suites.

What goes wrong

Sites either hide contact behind mailto links or overload visitors with long forms. Leads then land in shared mail with no structure, and campaign tags on the URL are lost.

A simple working loop

One form per job on the page that sells. Embed it. Notify a human. Optionally store UTM params. Export or webhook into tools you already pay for. That is enough for most early teams.

Pick the job: waitlist, contact, demo request, feedback, event, or intake. Create a separate FormKlar form for that job so inboxes stay clean.

Add only required fields. Every extra question costs completions. Email plus one clarifying field is enough for many offers.

Embed the form beside the headline, pricing CTA, or launch copy using the iframe/HTML snippet. Prefer embed over a bare link when the page already persuades.

Enable email notify for the person who should reply first. Submit a test from a private window and confirm inbox plus email.

If traffic comes from tagged campaigns, add hidden fields for utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign. Confirm values on a test tagged URL.

Reply from your normal mail or CRM after export. Use CSV for batches; use API or Pro webhook when every submit must create a row elsewhere automatically.

Avoid scope creep: FormKlar is not an ads manager, attribution suite, or CRM. It captures structured leads on your site and hands them to you honestly.

Do this in order

1

Choose one job per form

Waitlist, contact, demo, or feedback — separate forms keep triage sane.

2

Keep fields short

Require email; add only the clarifying fields that change how you reply.

3

Embed beside the offer

Paste the snippet where intent is highest and enable email notify.

4

Optional UTMs, then hand off

Map query keys if needed; export CSV or connect API / Pro webhook for systems.

FAQ

How is this different from a contact page?

You can still use a contact form — the point is structured fields, embed next to the offer, notify, and a dedicated inbox per job.

Do I need Pro on day one?

No. Free includes up to 3 forms with inbox and email notify. Add Pro when you need webhooks, more forms, or white-label.

Will FormKlar score leads?

No lead scoring product. You can store UTM params and qualify in your own CRM after export or webhook.

What about analytics dashboards?

FormKlar does not ship form-views analytics. Use your site analytics for traffic; use the inbox for submissions.
